A Legacy
Sewn in Pueblo, Since 1948

Founded in Pueblo, Colorado in 1948, Dincler began its journey as a family-run fabric store on Broadway Avenue, catering to a growing local demand for quality textiles and patterns to support home sewers. Over time, our shop expanded into men’s apparel, sewing shirts and tailored garments before evolving into stage curtain production—discovering a unique niche that aligned with our strengths in fabric and sewing expertise. Though our fabric and men’s clothing lines eventually retired, we continued to grow what became the heart of the business: custom stage curtains and rigging systems

Today, Dincler Stage Equipment is rooted in that same Pueblo location.

Our Journey: From Fabric Store to Stagecraft Specialists

  • 1948: Dincler opens as Dincler’s Fabric Store on Broadway in Pueblo, offering textiles and sewing services alongside men's shirting. Community events and local school productions rely on our fabrics and tailoring.

  • 1950s–1970s: Custom sewing transitions from clothing to stage textiles—curtains, valances, and theatrical soft goods—driven by demand from schools and community centers.

  • 1980s–1990s: The fabric store and retail apparel operations wind down. The stage curtain and rigging side of the business emerges as Dincler’s core focus, with increasing installations across Colorado and beyond.

  • 2000s–Today: The company adopts the name Dincler Stage Equipment, formalizes curtain and rigging services, and becomes recognized in industry directories and by performance venues throughout Colorado, Wyoming, and the surrounding states.

Our Identity: Experience, Craftsmanship & Service

  • Nearly 80 Years of History: From humble fabric beginnings to specialty stage systems, our business is built on decades of textile and sewing expertise.

  • Made in Pueblo: All design, fabrication, and installation takes place from our Colorado base—rooted in the traditions of our original sewing shop.

  • Full-Service Focus: Today, we offer end-to-end solutions: custom theatrical curtains sewn with flame-rated fabrics, precision-engineered tracks, and professional installation in performance venues—from schools to civic auditoriums.

Why It Matters

Our origins in tailoring and fabric retail have shaped how we operate today:

  1. Deep Textile Know–How: We select fabrics with performance and durability in mind—understanding weave density, drape, flame-retardance, and acoustic properties.

  1. Precision Sewing Standards: Years of garment and soft goods manufacturing inform every seam, hem, and pleat we sew.

  1. Client-Centered Collaboration: Just as a custom shirt fits its wearer, our curtain solutions are built to fit your space precisely—regardless of size or complexity.

Our Commitment

Since our transition into stage systems, we have remained steadfast in our values:

  • Custom-Fit, Every Time: No cookie-cutter products—each project is personalized to the architectural and aesthetic requirements of your venue.

  • Professional Installation: Our local team handles everything from measurement to mounting, ensuring safe, reliable operation.

  • Trusted Local Expertise: From Pueblo roots to Mountain West installations, we’ve partnered with educational institutions, theaters, churches, and municipal facilities for decades.

Our Vision Forward

Dincler Stage Equipment carries forward a tradition of textiles, tailoring, and theater solutions into the future. Whether it’s a historic theater retrofit, a new school auditorium, or a community performance space, our goal is simple: deliver high-quality, custom curtain and rigging systems backed by nearly eight decades of experience.
